Description
Across Allen Institute SciDEX persona loops, a systematic gap exists between artifact throughput (volume of artifacts produced per cycle) and rigor (reproducibility, provenance integrity, reviewer accountability). Specifically: (a) No standardized reproducibility_class enforcement — observational artifacts are promoted without dataset_refs or falsifiable controls; (b) Reviewer handoff records are not structured artifacts — feedback is embedded in comments but not machine-trackable; © Citation audit is synchronous and blocks author throughput rather than running in parallel; (d) No benchmark exists for measuring throughput×rigor as a composite platform metric. This gap is critical because the Allen–Anthropic partnership committed to ‘institutional-grade rigor standards’ — without infrastructure to enforce and measure rigor, the commitment is unmeasurable. Andy Hickl’s role as AI-for-biology CTO requires closing this gap before cross-program artifact promotion is enabled.
