Description
Analyze the spectrum of microglial activation states (DAM, homeostatic, inflammatory) and their distinct roles in AD, PD, and ALS. Identify pharmacological targets for shifting microglia toward protective phenotypes.
Resolution criteria
Resolved when a cross-disease microglial-state atlas maps DAM, homeostatic, inflammatory, and protective-like states across AD, PD, and ALS using single-cell or spatial transcriptomics, validates marker panels in independent datasets, identifies at least two pharmacological targets that shift harmful to protective states with quantitative functional readouts, and publishes the marker-target-disease KG edges plus a dataset of state definitions and intervention effects.
