Description
What is the role of gut microbiome-brain interactions in Parkinson’s disease pathogenesis?
Resolution criteria
Resolved when a systematic review or analysis artifact links gut microbiome changes to Parkinson pathogenesis with longitudinal human evidence, mechanistic animal or organoid experiments, and microbiome-modulation intervention data. The resolving artifact must distinguish correlation from causality, specify at least three reproducible microbial/metabolite features, quantify their association with alpha-synuclein or dopaminergic injury, and create KG edges for the supported gut-brain mechanisms.
