While FBXL4 and RSRC1 are upregulated in MDD brains, their specific contributions to disease mechanisms are unexplained. FBXL4 is involved in mitochondrial function and RSRC1 in RNA processing, but how their dysregulation leads to depressive phenotypes requires elucidation.
