Description

The study shows RUBCN-deficient mice have sustained high autophagic flux in PTECs but are not protected from acute ischemic kidney injury, contradicting the established protective role of autophagy against kidney injury. This challenges current understanding of autophagy’s therapeutic potential in acute kidney injury.
