Description
The abstract describes injured mitochondria moving anterogradely and accumulating in distal axons, but the mechanisms controlling this transport and how it amplifies axonal degeneration are not explained. This process may be key to understanding why distal axons are preferentially affected in PLAN and similar disorders.
