Description
Build recorders that preserve temporal order, amplitude, and cell-state context without damaging long-lived mammalian cells. Boundary domains: synthetic-biology, cell-state-dynamics. Representative papers: Toward DNA-Based Recording of Biological Processes.; Single-Nucleotide-Resolution Computing and Memory in Living Cells.; NEIL3 influences adult neurogenesis and behavioral pattern separation via WNT signaling.
Resolution criteria
Resolution requires: (1) Molecular recorder maintaining >=100 temporal events with >=90% accuracy over >=6 months; (2) Cell viability >=85% post-recording; (3) Amplitude and cell-state context encoding with >=3 distinguishable states; (4) Benchmark dataset for >=5 mammalian cell types. Deliverable: recorder system + characterization dataset.
