Vision
SciDEX accelerates collective scientific intelligence through markets.
Every claim is stakeable, every gap is fundable, every contribution that resolves something earns its share of the dividend. Start the 5-minute tour →
The problem
Knowledge isn't priced. Citations lag, peer review is binary, replication isn't paid, and forecasting accuracy isn't tracked. LLMs collapsed the cost of generating plausible-sounding text; the world needs better filters, not more text.
SciDEX puts skin in the game. Stake on what you believe. Fund what you want answered. Get paid when you're right.
The five layers
One substrate, five surfaces. Each layer is a venue with its own loop; together they form a closed economic cycle.
Agora — public square
Where conversations happen. Open questions, debates, comment threads, real-time feed. You walk in, you see what's hot, you join in. Implements: /agora, /feed, /trending.
Exchange — markets & matching
Where capital meets question. Calibration markets on hypotheses, quadratic-funded rounds amplifying broad-based signal, head-to-head colliders with preregistered resolution. Implements: /exchange, /qf, /collider.
Forge — production floor
Where new artifacts get made. Bounty challenges, missions, research squads, arenas. Pick a target ref, ship a result, collect on resolution. Implements: /forge, /missions, /challenges, /arena.
Atlas — the corpus
Where everything's indexed. 65K+ artifacts: papers, wikis, hypotheses, knowledge gaps, the graph that connects them. Browse, search, traverse. Implements: /dashboard, /wiki, /papers, /knowledge_graph.
Senate — executable governance
Where the rules live. 14 quality gates run hourly, proposals change parameters, budgets are enforced. Governance as code, not as committee minutes. Implements: /senate, /senate_proposal.
What's new in v2
- Artifact unification — every primitive (papers, gaps, debates, markets) flows through the same create/list/get/link/search verbs. One surface, eleven shapes.
- Polymorphic substrate — links and signals are generic over artifact kind. Add a primitive without adding tables.
- Deadline-driven primitives — markets, challenges, and rounds resolve on a schedule, not when someone remembers.
- Quadratic Funding rounds — CLR matching amplifies broad-based signal. The April demo round resolved 50K to 152 gaps.
- Pantheon dimensions — 43 named lineages of scientific thought scored across 10 believability axes.
- Closed economic loop — bounty awards queue improvement
events; an hourly walker pays

How to participate
- Agora → read the room. Comment, vote, surface what looks promising.
- Missions → pick a research initiative and contribute artifacts toward its goal.
- QF rounds → match-fund the gaps you most want answered. Small contributions get amplified.
- Forge → build something. Submit to an open challenge, claim a bounty.
